Telecable celebra 20 años liderando la evolución tecnológica en Costa Rica

En 2024, la empresa fue el operador de internet fijo de mayor crecimiento en Costa Rica, con una participación del 23%, según datos de la SUTEL.
A veinte años de su fundación, Telecable se consolida como uno de los principales actores tecnológicos en Costa Rica, con una red de fibra óptica que supera los 24.000 kilómetros y una infraestructura que le permite operar el Centro de Operaciones de Red más robusto de Centroamérica. Según datos de la Superintendencia de Telecomunicaciones (SUTEL), la compañía ha sido el operador de internet fijo de mayor crecimiento por segundo año consecutivo, alcanzando un 23% de participación en el mercado nacional.
Nacida como un proveedor de televisión por suscripción, la evolución tecnológica de Telecable ha sido constante. Hoy ofrece soluciones avanzadas en conectividad para hogares, empresas e instituciones, incluyendo enlaces dedicados, redes inalámbricas, centros de contacto multicanal y herramientas de ciberseguridad, productividad y colaboración. Esta capacidad tecnológica la ha posicionado como un socio estratégico en sectores como banca, salud y zonas francas.

La empresa también destaca por sus indicadores de desempeño técnico. En 2024 se convirtió en el primer operador nacional en alcanzar una latencia promedio de un solo dígito (6,3 ms), según la SUTEL. Además, fue reconocida con el sello Marca País Esencial Costa Rica y el premio internacional Top Partner Challenge de HPE Aruba, por su trabajo en soluciones de conectividad en sectores estratégicos.
En paralelo, Telecable integra una visión tecnológica con compromiso social. A través del Fondo Nacional de Telecomunicaciones facilita el acceso a internet en más de 78.000 hogares vulnerables, 225 espacios públicos y 179 centros educativos. En materia de sostenibilidad, ha sido galardonada con cinco estrellas en la categoría de Cambio Climático del programa Bandera Azul Ecológica, y ha invertido más de 21.000 horas en formación técnica para su personal a través de su Universidad Corporativa.
